NICKELODEON TOY SPRINT HEADS TO JOBURG

Nickelodeon Toy Sprint in partnership Toys "R" Us will be making its way to Johannesburg this Wednesday, 12 July 2017, for its second leg of the regional heats with 5FM DJ Sureshnie Rider set to sprint for her charity of choice.

The first leg of the much anticipated competition took to Cape Town last week and this week it will see four Johannesburg based toy enthusiast aged between 9 and 12 years; Aishania Sana Naidoo, Chad Fanaroff, Julie Joan Kloppe and Maleeha Suliman going head-to-head inside the Boksburg store with the aim of making it to the next round.

Each contestant will have 60-seconds on the clock to sprint through Toys "R" Us, filling theirtrolleys with as many of their favourite toys up to the value of R15 000. Once all 12 contestants from each region have participated in the live recording of the Nickelodeon Toy Sprint, they will compete in an online video battle to win the grand prize, as voted for byNickelodeon fans.

Commented seasoned 5FM DJ, Sureshnie Rider; “I have always loved these toy sprint shows since I was a child and since July is Nelson Mandela month, it would be amazing to be able to run around a store to put a smile of the faces of the children from Angel Wings Care Centre in Benoni. I am hoping having frequented Toys “R” Us as a mother with a six-year-old will work to my advantage in those 60-seconds”.

The ultimate Nickelodeon Toy Sprint champion will win an all-expense paid trip for themselves and three family members or friends to the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resort in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The prize includes; round trip airfare, five nights’ accommodation plus US$ 1800 spending money.
